Seal it up: Caulk and seal around exterior door and window frames. Look for gaps where pipes or wiring enter the home and caulk those as well. Not only does heat escape from these openings, but water can enter and may eventually cause structural damage and mold problems.

Cover it up: Cover exposed AC condenser units & pool heating units.

A FRIENDLY REMINDER to also CLEAR SNOW FROM EXTERIOR VENTS AROUND YOUR HOME- As you dig out your driveway, walkways and decks,  don't forget about clearing snow away from furnace and dryer vents, as well as the furnace fresh air intakes and exhaust pipes, gas meters, septic “candy cane” pipes and away from a permanent generator. Remember to check CO alarms too!
